Precision needles and replacement parts for Schiffli embroidery machines

A Schiffli machine is a long frame carrying hundreds of needles and shuttles that all have to act in the same instant. Every one of those parts is a wear item. Needles blunt, shuttles score, springs weaken — and because the machine works as a single unit, one worn part shows up as a fault across the whole piece of work.

Needles wear out long before they break

A blunt needle does not snap; it pushes through fabric instead of piercing it. That shows up as pulled threads, skipped stitches and small holes around dense stitching — damage that is easy to blame on the thread or the fabric. Changing needles on a schedule rather than on failure is cheaper than reworking a run, and it is the single most common maintenance mistake in embroidery units.

Matching the needle to the work

Needle point shape decides how the fabric is entered: a sharp point cuts through tightly woven material, a ball point pushes between the loops of a knit without cutting them. Using a sharp point on knitwear cuts the loops and the fabric ladders after a few washes — a fault the customer finds, not the factory. Size has to suit the thread as well, since a needle eye too small for the thread abrades it until it breaks.

Keeping spares on hand

The cost of a needle is nothing next to the cost of an idle frame. We supply needles and Schiffli components so units can hold their own spares rather than waiting on a delivery mid-order. Tell us your machine type and the sizes you run, and we will quote on what fits it.
